Rafa Nadal launches new charity golf tournament series at La Manga Club

La Manga Club hosts the opening round of a four-stop charity golf series across Spain this year

Rafa Nadal is teeing off a new charity golf series for businesses, with the first event set for February 26 and 27 at La Manga Club in Los Belones, Cartagena. The series, called Spin & Swing by Cantabria Labs, will raise funds for the Rafa Nadal Foundation, supporting its education and sports programmes for children and teenagers in vulnerable situations.

The two-day opening event will bring together 15 corporate teams of six players. Participants will also enjoy some premium experiences as part of the event, including exclusive events and gourmet cuisine from top chefs, like Pablo González Conejero of Murcia’s two-Michelin-starred Restaurante Cabaña Buenavista.

Nadal, widely regarded as one of Spain’s greatest ever athletes with 20 Grand Slam titles, explained the motivation behind the project, "This initiative is personal because of my love for golf. It’s a way to generate ongoing support for the Rafa Nadal Foundation and continue helping children and teenagers in vulnerable situations. Golf is unique because you can enjoy it with people of all levels. The series will be a shared experience, giving time to connect with other companies and build networks. We want it to be fun, enjoyable and something that lasts for years."

La Manga Club kicks off a four-stop series, which will continue in Madrid (April 21–22), Santander (June 11–12), and Girona (October 22–24). Each stage combines sport, networking, and social impact, showing how Nadal wants to use sport to make a real difference.

María Francisca Perelló, director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, added, "Spin & Swing lets us reach new companies and audiences in a format aligned with our values. All funds raised go to our Education and Sport project, supporting children across our centres in Palma, Valencia, and Madrid."
