Murcia weather forecast November 2-5: Rain returns as temperatures drop

Showers are expected across the Region of Murcia this week, with the heaviest rain likely along the coast and a noticeable drop in temperatures 

After a lovely sunny weekend, the weather is about to take a turn across the Region of Murcia. We're looking at a much cloudier few days, with rain returning and temperatures dropping quite noticeably by Wednesday. It might be time to get the duvet and a cozy cardigan back out again.

Monday November 2

Monday will start with some sunshine and high cloud, but skies are expected to become increasingly cloudy as the day goes on. A few showers could develop, particularly along the coast, although no significant rainfall is expected. Cartagena, Lorca and Murcia are all forecast to reach around 23°C, while Caravaca de la Cruz and Yecla should see highs of approximately 21°C.

Tuesday November 3

There's more rain on the cards for Tuesday, with cloudy skies and showers across the Region. Some could be pretty heavy along the coast, so it may be worth keeping an umbrella handy if you're heading out. Cartagena is forecast to reach 23°C, while Murcia could see 24°C. Inland, it will be cooler, with highs of around 19°C in Caravaca de la Cruz and Yecla.

Wednesday November 4

Wednesday looks like the coldest day of the week, with more rain expected and the heaviest showers again likely along the coast. Temperatures will fall quite sharply, with highs of just 19°C in Murcia and Cartagena, 18°C in Lorca and only 16°C in Yecla. After the warmth of recent days, it will feel like quite a change.

Thursday November 5

There is some better news for Thursday, with temperatures expected to rise again, although the clouds and showers aren't going anywhere just yet. Rain is still forecast, particularly along the coast, but Murcia could get back up to 24°C, with Cartagena reaching 23°C. Lorca is forecast to see around 20°C, while Caravaca de la Cruz should also reach 20°C.

AEMET has issued a yellow weather alert for parts of the Region of Murcia on Tuesday, with locally heavy showers possible in the Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón, as well as the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas. The alerts are in place from 6:00 am until midnight, with up to 15mm of rain possible in one hour. Keep an eye on the latest forecast if you're in any of these areas.
