Cartagena prepares for the Carthaginians and Romans fiestas with floral decoration in the city

The Carthagineses y Romanos fiestas take place in Cartagena from September 18 to 27

Over 12,000 plants and flowers are being planted in the city of Cartagena as the annual Carthagineses y Romanos approach, taking place this year between 18^th and 27^th September.

The greenery is distributed all over the city centre but especially, logically in enough, those where the main events take place, in order for Cartagena to look the part as visitors flock from all over the Region of Murcia and further afield to enjoy the celebrations.

One of the main venues is the Plaza Héroes de Cavite, where a Pompeii-style garden is once again being created, including 3-metre-high columns and nine kinds of plant, among them cypresses, laurels, olive trees, wild juniper, rosemary and roses. This recreation with white and yellow flowers is intended to reflect the classical ancient model and last year was extremely well received by all!
