Very warm, a little unsettled but still very much summer: Alicante weekend weather forecast August 13-16
Partly cloudy skies with afternoon storm risk inland, temperatures easing slightly and light coastal breezes through the weekend
This week opened with Monday's storm warnings, in parts of the Alicante Province, before settling into a calmer, sunnier pattern. This weekend is a little different: the unsettled conditions are more evenly spread across the four days, with the chance of afternoon thunderstorms inland on each of them. It's not all drama though, and the coast should stay largely dry and pleasant throughout.Thursday August 13
Alicante maximum temperatures, Thursday August 13Partly cloudy skies to kick off the weekend, with cloud building inland during the day and a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures stay high, both inland and along the coast, with little change from recent days. Winds are light and variable through the early morning, shifting to southeasterly later. Alcoy and the inland areas are most likely to see any storm activity, while Dénia and the northern Costa Blanca coast should stay drier.
Friday August 14
Alicante temperatures, Friday August 14Much the same story on Friday: partly cloudy, with cloud increasing inland through the day and another chance of isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures hold steady and remain high. Alicante city should stay largely dry, though anyone heading inland towards Elche later in the afternoon may want to keep an eye on the sky. Winds follow the same pattern as Thursday, light and variable early, turning southeasterly by midday.
Saturday August 15
Alicante temperatures, Saturday August 15The weekend proper brings a slight easing of temperatures, though it's still warm. Partly cloudy skies again, with cloud building inland during the afternoon and showers or thunderstorms possible. Benidorm and the Costa Blanca should stay dry for the most part, making it a decent enough beach day, while the risk of storms remains confined to higher ground. Winds stay light, shifting easterly and southeasterly during the middle of the day.
Sunday August 16
Alicante temperatures, Sunday August 16Sunday continues in a similar vein, partly cloudy with afternoon storm risk inland and temperatures edging a little lower again. Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa and Cabo Roig can expect a warm and largely dry day along the southern coast, with light breezes and the usual mix of sun and cloud. Winds variable through the morning, turning southeasterly in the afternoon.
The pattern this weekend is fairly consistent, and while the storm risk inland is real, the coast holds up well. A typical mid-August weekend, just with a few more clouds than last week.
Min and max temperatures in Alicante this weekend

- Friday August 14: Min 21ºC; Max 37ºC
