Tropical nights continue after cooler days: Alicante weekend weather forecast June 25-28
Temperatures will ease slightly across Alicante province, although many areas will still struggle to cool down after dark

Average temperatures expected on Sunday June 28
After Spain recorded its hottest June days since at least 1950 and much of the country endured an intense early summer heatwave, some welcome relief is finally on the way.
Over the next couple of days, cooler Atlantic air should help to bring temperatures down across large parts of Spain.
For the Costa Blanca, that means conditions will become a little more comfortable over the next few days, particularly compared with the extreme heat seen earlier this week. However, it won't exactly feel cool, especially at night when temperatures will continue to hover around the 20°C mark in many areas.
Thursday June 25

The skies will be partly cloudy, with some high cloud drifting across the province during the day.
Temperatures will remain similar to recent days or fall slightly. Inland areas will still see highs of around 34°C, with coastal towns generally a degree or two cooler thanks to the sea breeze.
Winds will be light for most of the day, becoming southeasterly during the afternoon.
Friday June 26

A mix of sunshine and patchy cloud will continue across the province.
Daytime temperatures will change very little inland, although coastal areas could see a slight drop compared with Thursday. Inland locations will once again be the hottest spots.
The bigger issue for many people will be the overnight temperatures. In coastal and low-lying areas, temperatures are expected to remain around 20°C to 21°C overnight, making for another run of warm and uncomfortable nights.
Light winds will continue, with a gentle sea breeze developing through the middle of the day.
Saturday June 27

The weekend will begin with plenty of sunshine and only a few passing clouds.
Temperatures will remain steady across most of the province, with little change expected from previous days. Inland areas will continue to push into the low to mid-30s, while the coast will stay slightly cooler.
Light easterly winds will develop during the afternoon, helping to keep conditions more pleasant near the sea.
Sunday June 28

High cloud will increase at times during the day, particularly across northern parts of the province.
There is a small chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms developing in inland areas towards the north during the afternoon, although most places are expected to remain dry.
Temperatures will ease slightly inland, while coastal areas will see little change. Even with the modest drop, it will remain hot for the time of year, especially away from the coast.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
Thursday June 25: Min 19ºC, Max 34ºC
Friday June 26: Min 19ºC, Max 34ºC
Saturday June 27: Min 19ºC, Max 34ºC
Sunday June 28: Min 20ºC, Max 35ºC
