ARCHIVED - Todos los Santos flower market returns to Cartagena this weekend
Eleven stalls are located in the Paseo Alfonso XIII
Eleven flower stalls will remain installed between October 28th and November 1st in the Paseo Alfonso XIII, as well as a stand in El Algar and another in Los Dolores to cater for those laying flowers at the cemeteries for Todos los Santos this coming weekend.
It is customary to visit family graves during these dates, and lay flowers, so this is traditionally a time when the sale of cut flowers and potted plants is very important for all those working in the floristry sector.
All stalls will comply fully with hygiene regulations. This year many cemeteries are introducing a one-way system to minimise congestion and requesting that the numbers of family members be limited in order to avoid overcrowding. The health department has also requested that young people desist from holding Halloween celebrations. In some areas of the country councils have even specifically dictated a local bando banning Halloween fiestas and Trick n Treating to try and prevent gatherings this coming weekend in light of the current concerns about the covid situation.
