Sun before the rain: Alicante weather forecast April 17-20

Alicante province will enjoy a few bright, sunny days before the rain sets in on Easter Sunday

Weather outlook on Easter Sunday, April 20

The unsettled, unpredictable weather will continue across Spain this Easter weekend but in Alicante province, we can look forward to at least one or two sunny, warm days before things take a turn for the worse on Easter Sunday.

Thursday April 17

The skies will be hazy on Holy Thursday with some cloudy intervals but the day promises to be dry and mild. After a chilly couple of days, the temperatures will inch up, although a moderate southwesterly wind will become breezy along the coast from late afternoon.

Friday April 18

After a mostly clear start, the skies will become gradually cloudier later in the day. Temperatures will remain stable with only, light, variable winds forecast.

Saturday April 19

Holy Saturday will be far cloudier than the previous couple of days but there’s only a very slight chance of some scattered, light showers in the far north of the province. However, the snow level will drop from around 2,000 metres to just 1,100-1,300 metres by the end of the day, signalling worse weather to come.

Sunday April 20

Easter Sunday will only be partly cloudy but the rain will begin in northern Alicante early in the morning, spreading to the rest of the province from lunchtime onwards. Both day and night-time temperatures will drop and a strong westerly breeze will make it feel cooler still during the central hours.

Friday April 18: Min 9ºC; Max 24ºC
Saturday April 19: Min 9ºC; Max 25ºC
Sunday April 20: Min 7ºC; Max 22ºC
