Over the coming weekend, a DANA is expected to sweep across Spain, resulting in heavy rain and thunderstorms in many parts. The next few days will also be a bit unsettled in Alicante province with the worst of the weather expected to land on Saturday.

 

 

Thursday morning will be mostly bright and sunny but cloud cover will start to build inland and to the north of the province in the afternoon. Here, there is a chance of some light showers.

 

Thursday night will be much cooler than previous days but day-time temperatures will continue to climb. A light breeze will grow stronger from midday.

 

 

Friday will be mostly bright and sunny with a smattering of high clouds. Temperatures will remain unchanged and the southeasterly winds will be light.

 

 

The rain and thunderstorms will begin early on Saturday morning in northern Alicante but the wet weather will spread to the south of the province by the afternoon. The skies will darken as the hours go by, but there will be no wind to speak of and the temperatures won’t change.

 

 

Things will brighten up considerably again on Sunday, although we can still expect partly cloudy skies inland. Day-time temperatures could drop by a degree or two.
