ARCHIVED - Free guided walking route Puntas de Calnegre natural park; Águilas July and August
Activity dates: Saturdays 11th and 25th July and 8th and 22nd August
Start time: 09.30
Prior booking essential due to maximum group size
This new guided walking route runs entirely through the Cabo Cope and Puntas de Calnegre Regional Park, allowing you to enjoy the natural attractions that make it worthy of this level of protection.
Throughout the route walkers can experience nesting areas for different species of birds, numerous coves, the remains of Roman settlements, a crypto wetland on the Saladar beach, and even a hole in the ground from which thermal water emanates.
The first part of the route is linear and the second circular, partly coinciding with the GR 92, from La Galera beach to Pocico del Animal beach. Although undulating, the terrain presents no difficulties.
The use of a mask is mandatory, and walkers are asked to comply with the social distancing gap of 1.5 metres between people of different family groups, and to use the hydroalcoholic gel provided by the guide. For your safety, the group size will be a maximum of 15 people.
When making a reservation the user is informed and accepts the security measures that are requested by the organisers to minimize the risks implicit with the COVID-19 pandemic.
These visits are intended for individuals or very small groups of a maximum of 6 people and may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Comfortable clothing and shoes, hat, bottle of water and sunscreen are recommended.
In good weather we also recommend walkers bring bathing suits and enjoy a refreshing dip at the end of the route on one of the beaches. Route length 4.7 km. Low difficulty. Duration 2h and 1/2 hours approximately. Coordinates starting point 37.469325 -1.499722
Please note; commentary is in Spanish, although this is a highly visual activity and information boards are in dual languages.
